Born in 1960 the Argentinian choreographer has lived in Madrid since 1989. He is the driving force and creative soul of Aracaladanza, the company he founded in 1995, after winning the Outstanding Coreographer award at the VIII Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid.

With an eclectic background gained at some of the most prestigious institutions in Buenos Aires, Enrique Cabrera was part of an elite group of recurring performers from Argentina’s most important contemporary dance companies.

His particular creative vision and interest in attracting younger audiences has allowed him to put together a strong group of artists who share his passion for dance and a unique way of using scenic elements and objects, which has become his trademark.

Mr. Cabrera is a pioneer in the field of dance for family audiences. His work has attracted attention not only in Spain but also in the UK where he is considered a maverick in new audience development.

Winner of Madrid’s "Antonio Ruiz Soler" Dance Choreography award in 2005, for his work ¡Nada... Nada!, Enrique Cabrera has offered courses and lectured at several universities, choreographed for a number of dance agencies and British companies. He has also collaborated with internationally renown choreographers, educators, writers, painters and filmmakers, has served on several juries and given master classes at universities and schools of drama and dance.
