Synopsis
Outdoors and in public space. In view of the whole world. No specific intention is required. It is simply enjoyed as it passes, leaving or being. Pure enjoyment of the senses in a time destined to rediscover ourselves with the emotion, joy and poetry of dance.
That is the new challenge of Aracaladanza that seeks to offer a breath of imagination and that comes with the desire to open a crack to hope. Mixed all of them with humor, fun and fantasy.
A pie de calle is a new contemporary dance show performed in the open air by five dancers from the Madrid company that follows in the wake of Prados, commissioned by the Museo Nacional del Prado as part of the program to celebrate its Second Centenary. The commissions from the Quinta de los Molinos (Madrid) continue in their wake to celebrate the almond harvest and the flowering of the trees in their park. Entre Almendras anda el juego (2022) and Entre flores y suspiros (2023) managed to gather hundreds of people who enjoyed dance, classical music and gastronomy in a privileged environment.
Aracaladanza, with this work beyond the usual theater settings, offers a cocktail of short pieces from its repertoire that adapt to the specific physical needs of the outdoor spaces for which they are specifically summoned (hence the idea of “configurable”). Always with the obligatory closeness of the imagination, designed to enjoy and thus make the days lighter, kinder and more fun.
